While I can work in a team, I usually hate teamwork. The main reason is the fact that my work could be influenced by other’s mistakes, but I can’t say I am really that much into other people, either. These being said, I’ll turn things upside down and tell you a few things about a collaboration platform usable by small teams and enterprises, as well. What, you were expecting a tool for solitary freelancers? Lol, not today, that’s for sure! 😉
TeamLab is our subject today, and the story is pretty short – it comes in a hosted and open source version, both freely available, enabling you to easily create teams, manage projects, setting milestones, creating tasks, and so on. Hey, it even has a built-in instant messaging client, integrated blogging, forum, and the 2-minute introductory video tutorial can help you get a clear idea about it without wasting time. Awesome!
Unfortunately for PHP fans, TeamLab requires ASP.NET and MySQL, SQLite or ADO.NET databases to work on your server. Oh, well, if you’re happy with the name.teamlab.com URL format, you can go with the hosted version, at least for a while…

“my work could be influenced by other’s mistakes…” Dude, that’s one of the stupidest and most arrogant thing I have ever heard from someone you claims to take his work seriously. You cannot possibly improve your skills if you don’t interact with other people. you are living a fantasy, this craft is so complex that you can’t expect to master everything by your self, this means that you are either so bad on what you do that you can’t even notice it or that you have never had a real challenging project and you have managed to do “everything” by your self. I’m glad I have never had to work with someone as self centered and biased as you.
I interact with other people, you also have to keep in mind that I am NOT a web designer, so I don’t really need an entire team to back me up when writing an article. Call it arrogance, call it as you wish – you are probably right, I can’t deny that. Just… don’t miss the point of the article, this not being my team player abilities, but TeamLab, OK? 😉
