I was just wondering about something one of these days… How many people would kill themselves and how many companies would go bankrupt if computers would simply stop working for a full week? I know for sure that thousands of WoW players would surely go crazy, if not end their lives… and while I can’t exactly say how many companies would go down if such an even would occur, Liberator just made me realize once again how important are computers and the Internet for business.
If I say “streaming real-time data to Web pages,” it doesn’t sound impressive at all, right? Now, what about “delivering up to one million (and above!) complex messages per second while offering support for up to 30,000 concurrent users on a single server,” is this impressive, or what? 😉
Considering all the above, Liberator can be used for complex chat systems, mapping applications, or to display trade market data, but it surely doesn’t stop here! Written is C and running on GNU/Linux or on Windows using VMware, Liberator has a free edition that can be used for non-commercial sites, and a bunch of live examples are available here.
Compatibility: according to the official page, IE and FF are both supported, but I am sure Opera or Chrome will also do just fine
