According to some description found on its website, ICEcat is “a unique open catalog in co-operation with the sponsoring manufacturers listed below. OpenICEcat distributes its free product content to 9000+ channel partners worldwide.”
The freely available, open source version of the database contains over 210 major brands and over 350,000 products, while a commercial version is also available for a certain price, this one offering information regarding the products of over 4,000 brands. Both versions are available as XML or URL, with links to datasheets and product images.
Oh, yeah, one more thing – ICEcat includes cross-sell and up-sell relationships, being available in over 20 languages for now. Excellent! 😉
