I like original names, and while some programs/scripts come with names with a clear origin, I still enjoy some of them, like this one here today. Of course, it’s more about being useful than carrying some smart name, but the good part is that ProtoFish has them both!
ProtoFish is a piece of code based on Prototype that allows you to easily create advanced menus that will be lightweight and work on most browsers. Sweet!

Adding a delay to your ProtoFish menus is very easy, and you can also choose your own hover class. Even more, the menus created using this script can respond to users pressing the TAB-key combo to move around your page. That should be enough… since the official page offers enough info to get you started with this script. 😉
Compatibility: all major browsers are supported, including Google Chrome, Flock, or Avant; just be sure to have at least Prototype 1.6 in place…
